Lesson 26 - TypeHinting and documentation in PHP
In the "previous tutorial, Namespaces in PHP, we learned how to use namespaces and how to use them to split bigger projects into modules. Today marks the end of our object-oriented course. We're going to show you all about TypeHinting, and show you how to document code properly.
TypeHinting
We know that PHP is a dynamically typed language. This feature can make the work easier, especially when it comes to small amounts of code/ However, having it be dynamically typed does occasionally backfire. It just isn't always clear what data type is expected and we cannot check whether a method received the right parameters. For this reason, PHP started introducing ways to specify data types.
