The company I work for has a controversial question: Should we develop software in-house or outsource it? We have a small team of programmers on staff, but perhaps they are not as strong on the subject as professionals in their field. The arguments were divided 50/50. I'd like to hear your opinion on this, guys. Perhaps you can help me make the right decision. I'd appreciate it.

My personal opinion is, of course, outsourcing because why hire programmers who, after the work has been completed, are essentially no longer needed. Of course, it all depends on what type of software it will be. If the application is complex and multifunctional and, for example, has financial transactions, then of course it is best to contact professionals.

Thanks guys for the feedback and opinions! I'm also inclined to the fact that it's better to turn to professionals so that there will be no technical problems later. Our developers are smart guys, but they don't have the necessary level of knowledge. Outsourcing is definitely the best solution in our case! Thank you!
